07 Round-Rim Plate M (Mocha)

FFT's featured artist, potter Shintaro Enami.

He is a notable artist who, after five years of diverse experience as Tetsuya and Momoko Otani's top apprentice, just recently became independent from "Otani Seitojo" in April 2025.

Enami's works feature characteristic waves (shinogi). Each one is hand-carved, and their elegant and delicate appearance is truly impressive. His pottery wheel technique is also exceptional.

His works are light and pleasant to the touch, with excellent weight balance.

The round-rimmed plate has a strong curve where the rim rises, so even if you put something that needs to be scooped with a spoon, it won't slip off the plate and can be easily taken. The M size is also recommended as a curry plate for children.

Though refined in form, these works, adorned with the soft expression of curves, seem to embody the aroma of coffee, surely enriching your coffee break.

As these are artisanal works, there may be individual differences in glaze, color, and size.

【Care Instructions】
This pottery is absorbent, so its texture will change with the moisture and oil from food. Since it is prone to staining, it is recommended to avoid dark-colored dishes until the oil has fully permeated the entire surface. The more it is used, the more character it develops, so we hope you enjoy this transformation. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent staining and odors to some extent, allowing it to gradually mature.
