New color: teal katakuchi (spouted bowl).

This katakuchi can be used as a cha hai (fairness cup) in Chinese tea ceremony to equalize the tea's strength before pouring it into teacups, or as a yusamashi (cooling bowl) for Japanese tea.
Of course, it would also be great as a sake server or for serving sauces and dressings at the table.

As this is an artisan piece, there will be individual differences in glaze, color, and size.

As this pottery is absorbent, its texture will change over time with the moisture and oil from food. It is prone to staining, so we recommend avoiding intensely colored dishes until the entire surface has absorbed oil. The piece will develop more character with use, and we hope you will enjoy this transformation. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent staining and odors to some extent, allowing it to gradually "grow" into its unique character.
