Tetsuhiro Iwata Brief Biography
Born in Tottori Prefecture in 1981. Studied architecture at Kyoto Seika University, then apprenticed under ceramic artist Kan Ito. Became independent in 2019. As he himself says, he is drawn to "products" like industrial goods. While his works may appear unadorned from a distance, holding them reveals a delicate balance and the痕跡 (traces) of handmade craftsmanship. The fusion of constructive, concise proportions and organic handwork evokes the modernity of Brutalist architecture. He is an artist that Food For Thought has its eye on.
