This "chestnut rim plate" has been greatly updated from what Mr. Tomii used to make. It becomes thicker, and the chisel is put in the whole, and the boundary becomes gentle and ambiguous. However, due to the excellent design, the feeling of mass has increased and the density has become higher than before.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT director and chef Yuko Watanabe fell in love at first sight when she picked up the chestnut rim dish. I immediately bought a few seats and literally use it every day, with the enthusiasm of "I will cherish it for the rest of my life!"

If you look at the image, you can see that it is quite thick. The shape is based on an old Nordic wooden plate, giving it a soft and generous impression. After carving with a lathe, the whole is carved with a chisel and a plane to give it a soft look.

The way it changes over time depends on how it is used, but Mr. Tomii's recommendation is to "use the cutlery as hard as you can and change it to look like an actual old wooden plate from Northern Europe."

As you use it, the oil content of the food will become familiar, and the knife marks will gradually change to a better texture. Of course, this is a work that I would like to use for professionals, but also for those who do not have a wooden plate or who are not good at cleaning it.

This 27cm is the best for the main! Please enjoy it with meat or fish. It looks great with dark green leafy vegetables and grilled vegetables. Or serve the cake creatively, or serve 2-3 baked goods with small coffee cups or café au lait bowls . Bread, egg dishes, and salad can also be served as one plate for breakfast.

There is also a 24 cm version of the same "chestnut rim plate" . It's excellent as a plate, dessert, and bread plate!

It is a precious solid work with luxurious thickness. Please enjoy it with the feeling of using it a lot and growing it.

It's not an exaggeration, it's a lifetime vessel.
