*Black spots and blemishes of exposed iron of 1mm or less may be visible.
These are intentionally left as part of the vessel's aesthetic by the artist.

A highly artistic item that strongly reflects Mr. Iwata's flexible thinking.

There is a fresh surprise in the gap between the minimal impression from a bird's-eye view and the texture of the handwork that becomes visible when you get closer.
The two flat sides can be enjoyed with either side facing down.

*The bottom is not flat, so there is some wobbling when pressed with a hand. This does not pose any problem for use.

Diameter: Approximately 13 x 13 cm / Thickness: Approximately 5 cm
As these are artisan works, there will be individual differences in glaze, color, and size.

*No special care is required when starting to use.
*After use, wash with a neutral detergent and dry thoroughly.
*Do not use in oven, dishwasher, or microwave.
*Returns and refunds are not accepted under any circumstances. Please understand this before purchasing.

Tetsuhiro Iwata Brief Biography
Born in Tottori Prefecture in 1981. Studied architecture at Kyoto Seika University, then apprenticed under ceramic artist Kan Ito. Became independent in 2019. As he himself says he is drawn to "products" like industrial goods, his works may appear uninteresting from a distance, but when held, one is moved by their exquisite balance and traces of handwork. The fusion of constructive, concise proportions and organic handwork evokes the modernity of Brutalist architecture. He is an artist that Food For Thought is keeping an eye on.
