APOTHECARY balm

"Balm" from the FOOD FOR THOUGHT APOTHECARY series.

In fact, this balm is a horse oil-based balm that was handed over at the atelier of FOOD FOR THOUGHT director Yuko Watanabe's cooking class, and has received enthusiastic support from the students.

This balm is made in Aso, Kumamoto Prefecture, using only 100% safe horse oil from local Kumamoto, and it is a carefully crafted product that takes a lot of time.

Watanabe always uses this balm for burns that come with cooking. "Very effective!" Horse oil has bactericidal/anti-inflammatory/antioxidant effects and has the effect of sinking heat, so it has been used as a folk remedy since ancient times as a medicine for wounds, rough skin, sunburns, and burns.

Of course, you can use it safely all over your body, such as for moisturizing your face and body, and for hair styling. Horse oil has a strong penetrating power and is extremely similar to human sebum, so when you apply it and spread it, it will quickly penetrate into the stratum corneum, leaving your skin feeling smooth in a short period of time. The skin will be in a state where plenty of oil is stored inside, so it will continue to be moisturized for a long time.

Horse oil is not a mineral-derived oil and is completely harmless, so it is also prescribed as a treatment for atopy and acne. FOOD FOR THOUGHT balm is a gentle product that uses plenty of such horse oil and adds beeswax. It can be safely used by babies, children, and those with sensitive skin.
