From Saturday, June 24 to Tuesday, June 27, FOOD FOR THOUGHT Uehara will be holding a solo exhibition by glass artist Kota Arinaga.

For the first day, until 13:00, entry will be by reservation ticket. Tickets will be available from 22:00 on Saturday, June 17, on our dedicated ticket reservation website (https://foodforthoughtshop.net/).

Holding Arinaga-san's works, there is a refreshing comfort, as if a breeze is blowing through.

A lightness and expansiveness that is not over-crafted.

One can feel from the works how the glass effortlessly takes shape, as if breathing naturally.

While Arinaga-san also creates many art pieces, for vessels, he focuses primarily on "ease of use." The balance in hand is neither too light nor too heavy. For glasses, they feel just slightly lighter than their appearance suggests, and are perfectly balanced once water is added.

Despite their beautiful and delicate appearance, they are also designed to be resistant to breakage, so holding them even brings a sense of security. Please incorporate this comfortable glass into your daily life, not just for special occasions.

Now, for this exhibition, we have gathered refreshing colors for the coming summer. We will primarily offer the most popular sumi (gray), suki (clear), and usubeni (pink) colors.

Additionally, "bubble glass" items, making their debut in our store, will also appear. Their ice-like coolness is visually refreshing and perfect for summer.

And the "bubble wine glass," which was extremely popular at last year's exhibition, will be available again this year. With a plump, round body like a soap bubble, each hand-blown glass piece possesses a soft, endearing individuality. This time, in addition to the standard type, we will also have a short size.
