"Atsushi Funakushi × Yuichi Takemata Exhibition" at Uehara store from 10/25 (Sat) - 29 (Wed)!

From October 25th (Saturday) to October 29th (Wednesday), FOOD FOR THOUGHT Uehara will host the "Atsushi Funakushi x Yuichi Takemata Exhibition," their fourth collaboration. On the first day, October 25th (Saturday), Mr. Funakushi and Mr. Takemata will be at the store!

The two artists' standard items have reached the realm of "masterpieces," enriching the dining tables of countless people. A commonality between Mr. Funakushi and Mr. Takemata is the large number of customers who purchase additional items or become repeat buyers. Potter Atsushi Funakushi will bring mainly his popular standard items, including his signature white and black rim plates. His works, which at first glance appear simple and streamlined, possess a unique sculptural beauty in details such as the footring and rim on the back. They instantly elevate an everyday dining table to the atmosphere of a restaurant or bistro.

His pieces feature stylish shapes and the soft texture of rounded glazes. Funakushi describes his pottery as "like a picture frame." His highly refined works are the ultimate vessels that "make food look delicious." Metalworker Yuichi Takemata will mainly bring his standard cutlery and plates.
