Currently, Takahashi-san exclusively creates vases. Takahashi-san often draws inspiration from natural objects, antiques, and paintings. "I believe the beautiful memories that deeply remain in my heart are among them: the cracked, dry earth I saw as a child, the corals and shells I eagerly collected, and the memory of transparent white fish," she says. Her pieces are made using the hand-building technique. The unique texture is achieved by repeatedly rubbing in and scraping off glaze. The cracks at the mouth of the vessel are incorporated to create an interesting expression, reveal space, and add rhythm as they split open.
