有永浩太 / Kota Arinaga

Kota Arinaga / Kota Arinaga

Kota Arinaga is a glass artist who creates his works in Notojima.

Arinaga's works remind the viewer of the fact that glass is a liquid. The forms he creates are organic, gentle, and utterly natural, giving one the feeling of inevitability born from the flow of circular motion. Rather than forcibly shaping them, it's as if the glass settled into its form on its own, as if the glass itself rejoices – this feeling can be perceived in all of his works. Arinaga is a master at breathing life into glass.

His signature "gaze" series is an outstanding collection that astonishes with its creation method and elicits sighs at its beauty. He is an artist to watch, whose reputation will undoubtedly continue to grow.
