FFT's featured artist, ceramist Shintaro Enami.

He is a highly anticipated artist who recently became independent from "Otani Seitojo" after five years of diverse experience as the top apprentice of Tetsuya and Momoko Otani.

Enami's works feature characteristic waves (shinogi), all hand-carved, and their elegant and intricate appearance is stunning. His mastery of the potter's wheel is truly remarkable.

His pieces are lightweight and comfortable to hold, with excellent weight balance. This drum-shaped bowl is suitable for serving small portions of appetizers, sashimi, seasonal Japanese sweets, and other dishes with multiple elements on one plate.

Diameter: Approx. 12.8cm / Height: Approx. 3cm

As these are artisanal pieces, there may be individual differences in glaze, color, and size.

【Care Instructions】
This pottery is absorbent, so its texture will change with the moisture and oil from food. Since it is prone to staining, we recommend avoiding dark-colored dishes until the oil has fully settled into the piece. As you use it, it will develop a richer character, and we hope you enjoy this transformation. If you are concerned, try soaking it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent staining and odors to some extent, allowing it to gradually mature.
