Tetsuhiro Iwata - Brief Biography
Born in Tottori Prefecture in 1981. Studied architecture at Kyoto Seika University, later apprenticed under ceramic artist Kan Ito. Became independent in 2019. As the artist himself states, he is drawn to "products" like industrial goods; from a distance, his works may appear unadorned, but once held, their exquisite balance and the traces of handcraftsmanship are truly impressive. The fusion of constructive, concise proportions with organic handcraft evokes the modernism of Brutalist architecture. Tetsuhiro Iwata is an artist garnering attention from Food For Thought.
