A new teal-colored katakuchi.
A katakuchi can be used as a tea vessel for Chinese tea to ensure an even strength before pouring it into a teacup, or as a cooler for Japanese tea.
Of course, it would also be lovely to use it as a sake vessel or for serving sauces and dressings at the table.
Diameter: Approx. 10 cm / Height: Approx. 8.5 cm
As this is a handmade piece, there may be variations in glaze, color, and size.
【Care Instructions】
This ceramic is porous, so its appearance will change with contact with moisture and oils from food. As it may easily absorb colors, we recommend avoiding dark-colored foods until the entire surface has become seasoned with oil. The more it is used, the more its character will develop, so we hope you will enjoy this transformation. If you have any concerns, please soak it in water for about 10 minutes before use. This will help prevent color transfer and odors to some extent, and the piece will gradually develop its character.
