MODERN CLASSIC Cafe au Lait Bowl S Crimson Fuji/Wisteria

Sale price$30.00 USD

Since all processes in the "MODERN CLASSIC" series are done by hand by artisans, there may be slight black spots from iron powder, air bubbles, or glaze flow marks. Just as the brocante pieces of the 1900s that we aimed for, we consider these traces of handwork precious, so please purchase with understanding. All items with problems in terms of safe use, such as cracks, chips, or distortions, are rejected during inspection.

FFT's popular long-selling MODERN CLASSIC series cafe au lait bowls are now available in new colors!

This is "Beni-Fuji / Wisteria", a pink shade that was most requested by our customers. It is a traditional Japanese color that has been used for a long time, but we have modernized it with a slight dullness. The result is a sophisticated adult pink that is not too sweet.

In the "Psychology of Color" using a color wheel, "Beni-Fuji" represents "gentleness," "gratitude," and "intuition."

"Beni-Fuji" is the closest color to human complexion. Spending a leisurely afternoon, enjoying a cafe au lait alone. This is the kind of color you want in a vessel to be your companion. The image of holding the bowl with both hands and taking a relaxing breath most naturally evoked "Beni-Fuji."

Its creamy tone is ideal for white or creamy-colored dishes, rather than vivid ingredients.

As the psychology of color suggests, enjoying time intuitively with gentle feelings. That is "Beni-Fuji."

"Beni-Fuji" goes well with natural interiors, such as wooden cutlery and tables, and linen/cotton cloths. Its creamy, smoky color, which is not stark, will give you a sense of familiarity, as if you've had it forever.

Wooden or silver cutlery is the best match. It looks lovely placed on a wooden tray.

"Beni-Fuji" is a gentle partner that will blend into your table.

⚠️The color is intentionally applied with uneven glaze and fired. The glaze is not applied uniformly on purpose to leave traces of human handiwork. Please be aware of this if you are looking for perfectly uniform items.

I believe that the reason why MODERN CLASSIC cafe au lait bowls have been so popular is their sleek, thin, and impeccably beautiful form.

It started with the thought, "Wouldn't we gain more fans if we offered colors?" And we were confident that adding color to this shape would not make it unrefined, but rather sophisticated.

Since FFT has a strong image of white and monochrome, I think colorful tableware will appear very fresh. Precisely because we have been particular about white, the color tones have FFT's unique ideas and essence.

The colors are the four listed below.
Each color name is also lovely. We gave them both Japanese and Western names. Please enjoy the names to match the image of your food and table.
